ABOUT
Kate Dalzell is an up-and-coming Edinburgh based fashion stylist and costume designer. Hailing originally from Blackpool, her strong sense of visual narrative came instinctively and eventually lead to completion of a BA (Hons) in Performance Costume from Edinburgh College of Art in 2005. Since then she has played an integral part in a range of creative projects; collaborating with established photographers, hair and make up artists, designers and clients.

Applying a theatrical sensibility to her work demonstrates a flair for the extreme, however, using this approach selectively allows her to collaborate with a spectrum of clients. Kate's outlook on styling is innovative yet often makes nostalgic reference to music, art and culture. Mixing current and vintage pieces pinpoints this and her knowledge of garment construction often enhances the spontaneity and depth of a project.

Kate has undertaken creative work for clients such as Pussycat Dolls, Warp Records, The British Hairdressing Awards; advertising campaigns for House of Sugar and Cameron Taylor Knitwear; and catwalk shows for charity M.I.A and Hearts Football Club. She has showcased her work in BORNE Magazine, The Scottish Daily Mail and several hair journals.
